COLIMA SHAMAN VESSEL, the figure has inlaid shell eyes and wears the distinctive shaman's horn, and is seen in a ceremonial stance, holding a cup that probably contains a hallucinogenic substance in one hand and a rattle in the other. Colima, West mexico, circa 200 BC-AD 300. Ht.-14".

From 1979 to 1989 he was a Private Dealer In New York, and since then has been a Private Dealer in Los Angeles.

During that time he has helped build many important collections In the U.S. and Europe, sold to major institutions, and done Consulting and appraisals.

He participates in many of the major Shows in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Santa Fe, a At the Denver Art Museum, and the Phoenix Art Museum.

Leonard Kalina Fine Arts has a large inventory of objects from All the major Pre-Columbian Culture Areas - Moundbuilder and Southwestern in the U.S,. and the cultures of Mexico(Olmec, Maya, Teotihuacan, Vera Cruz, Aztec and West Mexican Ceramics and Stone), Central America(Costa Rican Stone and Jade), South America(Moche, Chavin and other Peruvian Ceramics, Nazca And Inca Textiles, Gold from Colombia, and ancient stone and ceramics from Ecuador, Chile and Argentina.), and the Carribean(Taino stone).
